MGB MIMAROPA Leads Tree Planting and Clean-Up Activity in Celebration of Environment Month

Lourdes spearheaded a tree planting and clean-up activity at the PQMI Rehabilitation Project Site, Brgy. Sta. Lourdes.

The activity highlighted the importance of environmental stewardship and was actively participated in by key partners, including the DENR-Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (-DENR-PENRO) Palawan spearheaded by PENRO Felizardo B. Cayatoc, the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center (PWRCC), the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD), and the City Government of Puerto Princesa.
Over a hundred volunteers came together to plant trees and collect waste materials. The collaborative effort aimed to rehabilitate and preserve the local environment while strengthening inter-agency cooperation in promoting sustainable practices.
The initiative is part of a month-long series of environmental activities under the theme “Ending Global Plastic Pollution”, which seeks to raise awareness and promote proactive involvement in conserving natural resources. The successful turnout and positive impact of the activity reaffirmed the ongoing commitment of all participating sectors to preserve the ecological integrity of Palawan for future generations.
