Highlighting this year’s theme “Clean Seas for Blue Economy”, this activity aims to raise awareness about the environmental impact of promoting sustainable practices in coastal areas to maintain the pristine oceans to sustain a thriving blue economy. As marine life is threatened by debris in the oceans, where they can swallow plastic and other debris, or become tangled in it, which can cause harm or even death, human’s collective effort in conserving and protecting the coastlines is a crucial step in ensuring the sustainability of the ecosystem not just for the marine life but for the human community whose livelihoods depend on the grace of nature.
