In celebration of the Month of the Ocean 2024, with the theme “Catalyzing Action for Our Ocean and Climate”, the DENR-Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Palawan through the Conservation and Development Section (CDS) conducted a one-day Coastal Clean-up and Scubasurero on May 18, 2024, at Kalungpang (Snake) Island, Honda Bay, Puerto Princesa City. 

The activity was actively participated with the listed PENRO personnel, the Palawan Geographic Society (PGS), and the PNP Maritime personnel. A total of 144 kilograms of waste such as plastic bottles, plastic sachets, glass bottles, used ropes, and other non-biodegradable waste were collected and more than 30 kilograms of the waste were collected from the ocean by the the PGS Scubasurero team. 

This activity aims to promote conservation, preservation, and protection of our Planet’s vast oceans for its sustainability.
