ONE STEP CLOSER TO THEIR DREAMS
The 44 intern students in which 18 were from Information Computer Technology in AMA, 17 were from the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science in PSU, and 9 from Electrical Installation and Maintenance in PNS successfully completed their internship program at the DENR-PENRO Palawan last April 19, 2024.

The interns from the ICT of AMA Computer Learning Center (ACLC) had completed their 80 hours equivalent of a month deployment of their On-the-Job training. They were deployed in the different sections and units of the PENRO where they were tasked to sort papers in the recording unit, create banners for the PENRO’s kiosk website, create envi-lecture collateral for the IEC unit, make an inventory of the PENRO’s computer units and equipment, and create a system program for easier access of document records at the cashier.
The Envi-sci interns from Palawan State University were divided into three (3) groups and had a (5) five weekly rotation covering the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center (PWRCC), the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), and the Conservation Development Section (CDS). They were also engaged and participated in some of the activities of the office such as the 29th Crocodile Conservation Week and the arrival of the DENR Secretary, the Women’s Month Celebration, the clean-up drive in celebration of World Water Day, and CDS’s SEPA around the northern part of Palawan.
The Palawan National School interns had completed their 80 hours of training in the office where they were able to showcase and share their talents in helping the ICT Unit of the PENRO in electrical wiring works and also the beautification of the office premises led by Jerick Belinggan a.k.a. Kuya Balong of PENRO Palawan.
Their journey doesn’t stop here, rather this is just the beginning of a newly opened chapter of their lives and a milestone to prepare them to choose the best field of career in the future.
